Don't let that score fool you -- the Mustangs played a very competitive game against Widener last Saturday but shot themselves in the foot (or hoof) a few too many times. Twice in the first half, SU lost a chance at a field goal due to a mishandled center snap. The Mustangs also fumbled inside the Pride 10-yard line. It was 17-10 at halftime, but Widener scored on its first drive of the second half, and, from then on, the Mustangs were chasing the game. A few more turnovers kept SU off the board the rest of the way.
The Mustangs are off this week, with Homecoming scheduled for the 19th.
