From the Disney Comics Mailing List comes mention of the following limited-press item currently offered on eBay:
As knowledgeable Disney comics fans will probably gather from the subtitle, this is meant to be a rebuttal of sorts of HOW TO READ DONALD DUCK, the notorious Marxist critique of Carl Barks' DONALD DUCK and UNCLE $CROOGE stories. All well and good -- a valuable contribution to a long-standing debate over the Duck comics' influence on American pop culture. And when I say "valuable," I'm not just talking through Scrooge's top hat. The 12-page, stapled, black-and-white booklet was initially offered on eBay for... wait for it...
NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS!!
At last check, the price was down to $653.75... plus $12 shipping and handling. (Yeah, better handle it very carefully.) Talk about giving the profit motive a bad name.

Wak!
NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS!! For 12 pages?! Double-Wak!
Just imagine what WE could get for our full DuckTales Index?!
Man, say what you want about How to Read Donald Duck--and I believe I am on the record as finding much of it highly problematic--but what it undeniably is is an actual BOOK. I cannot help thinking that if a riposte to that is all of twelve pages long, the author can't have thought very deeply on the subject.
Alas, for a price like that, we may never know for sure.
