Thanks for your comments. BOLT was a hi...Richard,

Thanks for your comments. BOLT was a highly enjoyable flick and I'm disappointed that it hasn't had more of an "afterlife." But the same could be said of any number of non-Pixar 3-D efforts from Disney. Even WRECK-IT RALPH appears to have faded from memory a bit quicker than I would have expected.

ChrisChris Barathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06845538037091279990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357793224370188597.post-56184494933544286512013-05-14T17:45:15.751-04:002013-05-14T17:45:15.751-04:00Chris, I just happened to see your review of "...Chris, I just happened to see your review of "Bolt" today. I hope you don't mind this late comment.

I liked Bolt, Mittens, Rhino and Penny as characters, but I almost cheered when Penny's mother decides that she has had it with that agent and throws him out of the van. Face it, that agent is the sort that give "sleaze" a bad name!

I had a thought after the movie about Rhino. He watches TV programs a lot, so he should be familiar with old TV shows on nostalgia-oriented channels, right? So, when Bolt tells him that it'll be dangerous to come with him, Rhino might have said, "Well, let's get dangerous! Oooo, I've always wanted to say that!"

Then, when they see the animal shelter, Bolt could have said, "Remember, Rhino. Very minute you're in there, you'll be in danger." Upon this Rhino replies "And . . . loving it! I've always wanted to say that, too!"

Anyway, the escape from the animal shelter struck me as the wildest and funniest escape scene I've seen in a Disney film since I first saw Captain Hook getting away from the crocodile inside Skull Rock in "Peter Pan."

Yours truly, Richard Smyers
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
