Adventure tales don't make up the majority of the stories in that book, but they can be found there.

ChrisChris Barathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06845538037091279990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357793224370188597.post-66700334596888144852010-12-16T21:33:32.555-05:002010-12-16T21:33:32.555-05:00I suppose that I have written more about Richie fo...I suppose that I have written more about Richie for public consumption than just about anyone in existence.

No doubt, you are one of the world's foremost authorities on this and other specific animation and comics subjects. (This is why I wish that your and Joe's indexes were more circulated.)

My first series of RUMINATIONS columns for THFT!, back in the early- to mid-90s, covered the many, many ways in which Richie led an adventurous existence in the Harvey Comics of the 60s, 70s, and early 80s.

I never realized that Richie's comics were ever that adventurous! Perhaps I really owe it to myself to give Harvey another chance someday. (I don't think I'll ever be interested in a certain longstanding comics line about a group of teenagers, though!)

Don't worry, I'll give it every chance to win me over. It's only Richie's future in comics that is at stake, after all.

When one has been reading a title for decades, naturally, we care about it, and want the comics to be as good as possible.

Ryan

(I should really start my own blog already. I always thought the story where Richie and Jackie Jokers defuse a nuclear bomb mere seconds before it explodes was pretty edgy, especially considering how lighthearted the comic usually was.Mark Lungohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14470025194827675845noreply@blogger.com
